On November 21st, 2024 I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Charles Burnett in person at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago. Mr. Burnett’s recently restored and long-missing 1999 film The Annihilation of Fish was the closing film at the 30th Annual Black Harvest Film Festival. The film was incredible, and Mr. Burnett posed for this picture with me and signed my Killer of Sheep DVD.
