D.W. Griffith’s work is relatively well represented on home video, but considering he made over 400 short films prior to directing The Birth of a Nation (1915/1992), the majority of his films are still unreleased. Sadly Lady Helen’s Escapade is one of them. It is also unavailable online. A print of the film can be viewed at the Library of Congress.
Update 9/14/24: Thanks to the efforts of Benjamin Wilson and the fine folks who contributed to his GoFundMe campaign, Lady Helen’s Escapade can finally be seen on YouTube. My sincerest thanks to Mr. Wilson for making this rare Film Registry title widely available to the public after 20 years.
